Switching to Frank
If you're already in Australia but are currently with another health fund, switching your overseas visitor health cover to Frank could save you money.
When considering health cover it's important to balance coverage and price from the policies offered across different funds.
How to switch
If you're thinking about switching to Frank, here's how to do it:
- Join Frank directly online.
- Where prompted, indicate that you already have overseas health cover and want to switch to Frank.
- As soon as you're a Frank member Team Frank will contact your old fund on your behalf to cancel your old policy. Once your old insurer receives a transfer request from Frank, they must process it within 14 days, issue a transfer certificate to us (or you) and pay a refund on any premiums paid ahead of the cancellation date (as long as you haven’t made any claims in that time).
- That's it! You will not be without health insurance cover during the transition – the process can take a little while.
